I. Materials needed

    Materials                                                                    Definition

                                       Patch panel

  1.  a board in a switchboard, computer, or other device with a number of electric sockets that may be connected in various combinations.

        Punch down tool
-Punch down tools are used to terminate wires into punch down patch panels and punch down keystone jacks
                                                                                             UTP Cable
cabling used in telephone wiring and local area networks

                                                RJ-45
        -  is commonly used to connect computers onto Ethernet-based local area networks
                                                         Cable Tester
                                 - is a device used to test cables
                                                                                                                        Crimping tool
                           - crimping tool is the tool used to deform the                                                         material and create connection
          Keystone Jack
A keystone jack is a female connector used in data communications, particularly local area networks

II. steps in configuring patch panel.

step 1: prepare the needed materials.
step 2: strip you wire for atleast 1inch of the rubber of your cable.
step 3: arrange the wires according to the ethernet cable code you choose.
step 4: use RJ-45 and keystone jack and attach the cables.
step 5: use punch down tools to punch down the wires.
step 6: do the same step in  step at the back of patch panel.
step 7: connect it together and use Cable Tester to test it.

III. Uses of  patch panel networking
Patch panels are designed to handle multiple network ports to connect outgoing and incoming lines, such as local area networks, electrical systems, communications, and electronics. Patch panels can be a part of a LAN, where they connect multiple computers to each other and the outside world.
